Which T-Bolt should I Buy?
Well then, after the "issues" detailed here:-
http://www.full-bore.co.uk/viewtopic.ph ... 42&start=0
And after getting the slot cleared, ( and a rather unfortunate mistake sorted (!) ), I plan on getting a T-bolt as soon as poss. ( its this work you know, gets in the way! :cool2: ).....
I have had a good look at the Varmint, (£530 ish ) and Sporter, (£450 ish ), and am essentially wondering if the heavy barrel is worth having - the varmint stock is IMHO, far superior, but perhaps not worth the extra on its own. ( i found the sporter fore end a little slim ). To complicate matters further, the Sporter is available with a composite stock including an extra mag for the same money!
Decisions, decisions...... sign85
Any opinions?
TIA

I would buy a CZ and be done with it! - in 22lr, a heavy barrel will offer very little if any benefit, except to add weight.

Thanks Mike, I'd guessed as much, so the cheaper option is the one to go for then!!MiLisCer wrote:... in 22lr, a heavy barrel will offer very little if any benefit, except to add weight.

Can't have the CZ as its cross bolt safety - whereas the T-Bolt is top tang, which I am allowed!
Thanks Again

strange condition? is there a reason why you are not allowed a cross bolt safety?FarmerSim wrote:Thanks Mike, I'd guessed as much, so the cheaper option is the one to go for then!!MiLisCer wrote:... in 22lr, a heavy barrel will offer very little if any benefit, except to add weight.

I had a tbolt in .17 - very nice, but, would recommend a shorter and heavy barrel

Re: Which T-Bolt should I Buy?
My Dad has had one for a few years now and is a great rifle, he has the standard barrel that's 22 inches long, always said the one change he would make would be to cut it down to 16. I personally wouldn't bother with a heavy barrel on a sport rifle, more weight for no appreciable gain

It's makes a difference on a hmr though!

Re: Which T-Bolt should I Buy?
I have the T Bolt in composit with a 16.5 inch barrel in 22lr. I have to admit it is a great wee rifle but I will be changing the composit stock. I find it is a bit too small and light, I don't know what I will get for it yet though.
