Single shot rifles I've found are great for actually increasing your accuracy potential! The time it takes to open, extract, load and close, does seem to bring a serenity.

I've had a coule of Sharps replicas that were great to shoot and a Ruger #1. The #1 was unfotunately in the "wrong caliber" for me, .22-250. But, a #1 Varmint in .223 is certainly on my bucket list and for much the reasons you state....

Bloody lovely setting for a range as well!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Nice to know I wasn't imagining it then! :lol:

Another interesting looking range from up north - I love the way they've cut back a 600 yrd range for 3 targets tongueout

3 targets is better than 2 targets which in itself is better than NO targets. Needs Must!

The Range also has a nice 100 yard Pistol/zero range, it's down at the 200 yard firing point;
