Hi from Worcester
I have been lurking for a few months now and I would firstly like to say what a great forum this is, seems so friendly!!!
I am 34 and just taken up shooting again after about 15 years away. I used to do a lot of .22 rimfire target shooting for my college from the age of 12-18. I have joined my local Small Bore club (Bromyard Rifle Club) been going for about a month and a half now and loving it. I have my first postal comp card to do this evening,
When I was shooting at my college I went on a British Schools shooting tour to Denmark and had the chance to shoot some full bore target rifle. I loved it and did really well, I have been meaning to have a go ever since just other things have got in the way, mainly work, the joy of being self employed!!!
But here I am back shooting again and about to send off the paperwork to start my probation course with the NRA at Bisley. I hope I can get all my probationary stuff out the way and FAC in place so I can have a go at the Imperial next year. Watch out IainWR I am sure I will be needing some sign85 and also from any of the other TR shooters on here!!!
I am hoping my girlfriend will also do her NRA probationary course. She has had one go down at my club and was very very good for a first timer in fact she did better than me that day . But that trend will not continue, I must have the upper hand in at least one thing in our relationship  .
Look forward to meeting some of you guys at Bisley sometime soon.
Henry

Welcome to the forum Henry, it is always good to see lurkers become posters, it is also not unusual to see a woman pick up a rifle and out shoot men, my view is this is down to a lack of mechanical empathy, instead of understanding the finer points of shooting they clutter their minds up with more mundane things such as shopping and shoes and accordingly have no preconceived views on shooting.
I know, I am sooo wrong and in a world of hell now however i have said it and it was fun....

Henry,
Welcome - does your club not do a probationary course? Seems daft to go to Bisley to do one, when your club should run them at "home"
