9mm straight pull (Or 9mm AR upper)

#1 Post by M99 »

I am looking for a 9mm straight pull (not the lever release) - SGC did these a few years back in the AR style - I have a spare slot and cash waiting if anyone has one or knows someone with one to sell (The one on GT has gone)

I saw one of those at Bisley a few years back but didn't have a slot on my ticket for it. Wish I had as then I'd never have bought one of SGC's new ones.

Were they definitely straight pulls and not the lever-action ones (as opposed to level release action)? They came with a 1911 pistol grip that you rocked fowards then back to cycle the action? If it was this type they aren't compatible with normal AR lowers :bad:

Bob re-worked a lot of them to right handed side cocking, they use a rotating-lock bolt unlike the new blowback Unicorns. There are quite a few about, one changed hands at our club just last week for £475, a very accurate bit of kit.

Having spoken to Bob about them, I won't be getting one  - he was very helpful and straight with me- his words "I stopped making them as they had extraction issues that we just could not get sorted"

So I will not be getting one!

You'll just have to make do with getting hit with the brass (sorry steel) from my unicorn then :good:
