Looks like you're right, ARCatch22 just confirmed it! I take it all back!

I personally think the website is a bit misleading. Disappointing as I have ordered a Spikes with one fitted. Might have to go back to plan A and look at the CMMG BHOA instead now :cool2:

Hi Joe,

I have a CMMG BHOA fitted to my Spikes ST22, works well, it lacks the automatic bolt hold open function, but as you know, some ranges want to see bolt back and mag out when the firearms not in use, so I would regard it as an essential item.

Shame, the ARCatch22 looks good.

Cheers HV,

Would it not have automatic hold open with CMMG bhoa magazines though? I think you can fit CMMG followers in the BDMs which is good as I already have 3!

Auto bolt hold open isn't essential obviously, but it would be nice. Especially as I was steered away from the CMMG unit for the cartch22... Now I realise it doesn't even do the same
job and I've bought BDMs when I could have bought CMMG mags with bho followers for the same money sign01

Hi Joe,

And so you might think mate...thats what I thought when I bought mine from N W Custom parts, after fiddling with it and giving up, I contacted Wayne and he said, eeerrr no mate, it won't do that!

I bought the CMMG bhoa and two follower kits for my black dog and CMMG mags, still it does work manually very well....and very occasionally automatically works......when it feels like it!

My S&W never misses a beat with it's last round hold open and standard mags..... :55: troutslapping
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Sorry, should have said it's own S&W standard mags, not "THE" standard, which would be Blackdog.

Well, our Spikes may not automatically hold open, but at least it won't melt if I leave it out in the sun Sim.
