I can't get on with console controllers, they're good for certain games, but not first person shooters IMO. The general consensus is if two people were playing the same first person shooter, the person playing with a console controller would have the floor wiped with them, by the person with the keyboard and mouse.

Why didn't you enjoy it online?

Very impressive but I'm a console guy. Don't have a suitable PC but always think that PC games are too complicated as I can't see how it is intuitive to use keyboard and mouse.

Played BF3 on 360 and found the arcade game ok but didn't enjoy it online whereas the opposite is true for Modern Warfare 4

online you play against other people, you have to take the rough with the smooth, so you don't always rule tongueout whereas the arcade games tend to be linear and predictable, CODMW4 is pure run'n'gun brain off sprint on and hold that trigger down most PC games now are ports of console games, you can tell that in part due to the limited number of keys used, if you go back to the original COD/UO you could choose all the weapons by hitting the relevant number key rather than having to scroll through, you could select a grenade and then decide to save it whereas now in most games if you chose it you throw it, you could even bash someone with your binoculars clapclap a lot of the gameplay has been downgraded since those old games, and replaced with better graphics and gimics.
the Battlefield series has been consistently the most involved of the games, with individual rounds running into hours of gameplay! I spent sooo much time on BF2 and probably too much on BF3 heres a taster

I really don't get it. Its just a game in which you use a little gamepad. Now is one of those rare occassions in history in which you're practically guaranteed action if you sign up. You may not get to make wee movies of your endevours but i can guarantee that the pucker factor is like nothing else!

If I wanted real action, I'd sign up.

I don't. Games give me some downtime for the mind. At the same time it can allow me to practise a level of skill in my hand eye coordination to achieve accuracy.

Why does anyone get an AR? Or Lee Enfield? It's a military rifle. Shouldn't they just sign up?
