Really good video - thanks for posting, especially for those of us just starting out with with our 338LM ownership :-)

What sort of rifle did you get?

Sorted your prefered load yet? Any thoughts on bullets?

Was that aimed at me Roe? If so I have a Dolphin Guns custom rifle, based on a Barnard PLM10 action. Only been able to get out and use it once so far, and that was with with ready made Hornady 250gr ammunition, so have not got into reloading just yet - plan to do so, when I get the chance.

I spent Hogmanay 1999 in Colorado. Often around -10 to -20C and as soon as you remove the humidity from the air, extreme does become a lot more bearable.

Outside in -2C in my "other job" at the moment becomes a PITA after about 2hours and my knees and ankles ache the following day.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Yep. The Barnard action has a super reputation, so I'm sure you'll be very happy with that gun.
Myself, I've never tried anything but the 300gr Scenar - that bullet is so easy to work with as it is doppler radar documented.
Would like to try some Bergers, but they are not on the shelf at my local store...

Not tried 300's yet, only 250's, although when I get my reloading side sorted out I'll make some 300's up and given them a go. Just a shame there are so fedw places I can use it, otherwise I'd get much more time to practise.

Yes, you're not the only one to have that problem. Finding places to stretch the 338 close to home can be hard.
