Re: Check Weights Wanted
use good quality bullet?
Re: Check Weights Wanted
I have 8 boxes of 'good quality' bullets that have been sorted by bearing length and weight, each box is slightly different...
Re: Check Weights Wanted
With respect,
I could go into the why's and wherefores of why I need check-weights, suffice it to say that I need an accurate reading across a range of weights with more reliability than the 'good quality' bullet method would give me .

Re: Check Weights Wanted
You could always get something like a 5p piece weighed on an accurate system and then mark the weight on it and keep it safe as a check weight. The new 5p should weigh around 50 grains.
There are a few people on here with super accurate scales that should be able to help out for the cost of a first class letter.

Re: Check Weights Wanted
for the record I assumed from your first post that you wanted to confirm the accuracy of your scales from one session to the next, and the same bullet used each time would do that, obviously I was wrong
Re: Check Weights Wanted
daved22, Lyman make a set of good scale check weights (Lyman #: 7752313 ) I just checked on Midway UK and though a little pricier than on this side of the pond they are good check weights. I know because I have a set. Do a search and you may find them on another site a little cheaper, hope this helps you out.
