Hello from Aberdeenshire
Hi all,
I am pleased to have found the site and glad to be accepted on board. I am originally from Wallsend, served in the RAF for 10 years fixing HM's aircraft, and by a roundabout route arrived in Aberdeen some 30 years ago to fix offshore support helicopters. I now work in the oil & gas business, sitting in front of a computer beats working for a living!!
I have been shooting for more years than I want to be reminded of, starting with bunnies in Northumberland and targets when I was a kid smaller than the No4 Enfields that we used to shoot at RAF Ouston in the ATC.
I have been around Aberdeen Full Bore Gun Club and the now defunct Fraserburgh and Peterhead Clubs for a while now. I shoot mostly rifle and participate in a number of Club and regional events, notably the Aberdeen Wapinschaw, hence the screen name.
I am interested in getting involved with the S Class events, I need to go and weigh one of my rifles to see if I will be allowed to play!
Cheers
Martin

Hi Mike, I won't be at the NESSCC, I did compete regularly in the pistol days but never took to underlever rifles. I have a Taurus LBR but it's just not the same. I wil be rifle shooting at our 100yd quarry range on Saturday instead.

allo Martin. I too have to weigh one or two of my rifles and get a new scope thinking of one of the new conquests direct from the states
I hope your 6.5 x 55 is too heavy.
