Your choice of defence post apocalypse?
Seen as many if not all of the forum members are shooters in some capacity I thought it would be a good idea to find out what defence items you would keep/store if there was ever a Zombie/SHTF scenario and your reasoning?
Ill start. I have currently my air rifles, knives and long bow that I keep and actively use, all ok which would easily dispatch Mr. Zombie. I also have a fully packed and equipped bag of supplies and shelter just incase it's required.
What would you keep and why?

Probably a SGC SpeedMaster with a .22 upper as it has iron sights, is light and ammunition is readily available, plus it is S/A. Supported by an M66 Repeater with 24" barrel and 10x Kaps 'scope with BDC drum and ranging reticle. It takes the AICS 5 and 10 round magazines and it would be chambered in 7,62x51 so I can feed it 7,62x51 or .308 depending on what is around.

Well we know where this thread is headed then eh
Glock 23 in .40SW with loads of magazines - and a .22LR conversion as back up.
Sig P229 in .40SW but with 9mm conversion just in case the .40SW runs out (got 1400+ rounds 9mm frangible for that)
Sig 556 semi auto and 12 x 30 round mags.
My Remmy 700 in .308 for when I cannot be arsed getting up close to shoot them.
My Kabar......for sharpening pencils to keep tally.
A couple of Asian babes.....might as well have decent food .

Pistols are a waste of time. They lack range, have limited 'punch' and are bloody noisy.
I'll start with any reliable S/A 22 with 30rds magazine or more. Slap on a decent moderator and include a truck load of 22 bricks because I'll use this to quietly take game and eliminate all 'vermin.'
Next I'll take a good dozen or so of the current (whenever it is) issue rifle. Even if it's the Sa80A2 and again a boat load of rounds as I'm certainly not wasting time reloading, far less fixing.
Throw in a few GPMGs, mines, heavy earth moving kit for digging berms and killing fields and lastly my own issued L96A1. I'd even be happy with the original 6x42 scope.
I wouldn't be worried about female company as I'd be the only bugger surviving, they'd soon present themselves. That and the fact that the Memsab would castrait me with a rusty spoon!

You need to see a picture of a rusty spoon? They look just like normal spoons, but tarnished!Chuck wrote::lol:
