Those figures on the Stalking site card are the same as my AJP Wind Calc. I have a feeling they were calculated using a 144grn RG bullet. Todays issued ammo is using 155grn bullets for 'Bisley' TR comps. The chart is 'near enough' for my level of shooting! It gets me 'on' and then by plotting each shot you can see what correction is required.

If you have any ballistic prog / app then you can input different weights to see the varying effects. There are several online progs too.

You could always go back to First Principles - ask what wind your partner is using, particularly if he's in the V's!

Be careful with the drops of the shooter next door as he may be an F/TR shooter putting rounds down the range at 3100fps. I would suggest something like these drops with a 100 yard zero should put you close however they are assuming a lot of things so if at all possible check before the competition.

500 yards 9.4 MOA
600 yards 13.0 MOA

800 yards 21.6 MOA
900 yards 26.8 MOA
1000 yards 32.8 MOA

The data that you give below roughly fits in with my figures from Ballistic. Mind you, mine were based on a 50m zero:

Does HPS load them that hot ? Have you chrono'd that load or verified the drop ? I used their 155 load a while back and out of a 24" i was well under 2850. Just askin'.

Depends on barrel length - if you have 30" it will run about 2,950

if 24" I reckon 2,850 is a fair bet

From what the bloke i spoke to said, they end up hotter than normal. Their 175 grn loads are a more normal 2600 fps or so apparently.

Will bisley have a chrono at the zero range, or is that unlikely?

if HPS says its hot then in 155 mode 2,900 + is likely BUT best we confirm since it will have severe influence on MOA at 1000 yards
