CZ bolt falls out !

#1 Post by ninja_geezer »

Hi just got a new CZ453premium 17 HMR fired about 40 shots through it and it was great, the only thing that need sorting was the trigger was too heavy, adjusted and feels great, when testing it now the bolt flies out the back when you open it to reload, it does not stop when it should it just slides right out ! not everytime but too much.
nearly dropped it today when testing the trigger pull. wtfwtf

How is the bolt normally released, is by pulling the trigger back or does it have a bolt release latch as well?

Sounds like you have adjusted the trigger sear down too low to prevent the bolt coming out, is there only the one adjusting screw on the trigger? Right now you could be in a potentially unsafe condition and I would say adjust it back so at least the bolt is held in place when opened. I know nothing about CZ triggers so hopefully someone will be along in a minute with more experience of this make of trigger.

ok will do that, there are a few adjustments on the trigger because it has a set trigger as well.

Good to hear it is sorted now. Is the trigger any better for the adjustments?

Well done for sorting that, could have been a potentially dangerous situation I would have thought!
