Obsolete caliber rifle wanted

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

I am looking for an Obsolete caliber rifle, not really fussed what it is as long as it has a reasonable bore and is a cartridge rifle.

Anyone?

I know of an original Winchester 1886 in .40-82....

Expensive though.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

.310 cadets martini actions, and .32-40 under levers seem to be about both nice little rounds...

SimG and 1886 chambered in 40-82 WCF, I would imagine that is approaching the 'If you have to ask you cannot afford it' price range.

Dromia, I will PM/email you
