Re: 1907 sling
I bet saddler could make one....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: 1907 sling
Would that be the Kerr No-Buckl Sling in canvas and would it have to be an original. Or the later leather sling. An original canvas one you're looking at around $150 US for one.ukrifleman wrote:Wanted, anyone with a 1907 sling for sale for my Mod1917 Remington.

Have a look on Evilbay US and if I can be of assistance just let me know with a PM. Nearly forgot to add the link below, thought you might find it interesting.

P.S. BTW I didn't misspell Buckl, that is how Kerr put it out.

HOW is the M1907 leathsr sling LATER than the M1917 Kerr sling?
It pre-dates it by over 10 years...closer to 20 years given the history of the sling and the use of earlier veraions on the Krag, etc.
I can make an M1907 sling...just I need a supply of some of the fittings
The best new ones are made by Les Tam or John Weller...or myself when I have the metalwork
SimG loses his bet...again :55: .

Yep, looks like I did lose the bet. Of course, that was because I bet on you being able to fulfil an objective. I should have known better.....saddler wrote:SimG loses his bet...again :55: .

Re: 1907 sling
Good news for me, a dealer buddy called tonight, to say he had located a leather sling for £20 so it looks like I am set up.
Thanks guys for the help and info, particularly the armscollectors link from Blu, which will ensure that I fit the sling correctly.
Once again, many thanks to all, much appreciated.
