A long time ago.. Now I am virtually bald and Mr cooper is sadly no longer with us.

Indeed. His ideas were groundbreaking at the time. He was the original tactical/target x-over. He gave the military more accuracy and the target community got rifles that did not have to be treated like a delicate antique. Anyone who shoots in the rain and thanks god they have a synthetic stock should tip their hats appropriately!
