Tacticool Bolt action .22 ??
OK peeps, my lad Tobi who's nearly 13 has discovered he quite likes shooting :goodjob: party2
not only does he like it but he's quite good at it :cool2: He's been shooting some of the club .22's, scoped bolt action Anschutz and a CZ, he's also had a bash with a couple of semi's which naturally he loved.
What I'm thinking is to sell my GSG TSC 1911 and purchase him "his own" rifle, now as much as he and I both would like something Black and cool like a MP15/22 or another M4 type rifle the simple fact is I can't afford to feed it and I'd prefer him to master marksmanship rather how to empty the mag as quick a possible.
What I thought was try and find something with an adjustable stock, 10rnd mag, longish barrel (20inch+) that I can maybe get repainted to look sniper ish.
has anyone done anything similar or seen something that might fit the bill??
Cheers
Alan

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

You could pick up any number of synthetic bolt guns such as a CZ and paint/Duracoat/or whatever..... sign85
But honestly, above all, shooting has to be fun. He's 13. Get a semi. 1K rounds of fairly decent rimfire is around 60 to 70 quid..... or about two boxes of SMK's....
13, bolt gun..... boring!! (doesn't matter what "colour" it is!
perferably with zzzzom zzzzom zzzzom targets!
Master double and triple taps to a zombie head and speed reloads, that's what the boy needs!!

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

You could pick up an old BRNO very inexpensively, then drop it in a tacticoool stock, or simply paint it black.
With a white stripe of course.

UZI!!!!
Brand new 475. With enough money left over for 3000 rounds of ammo, compared to the cost of the Savage!
Come on Alan! He's only a boy for a very short time!!
