Re: Lee expanding die pin
where did your pin snap? if it was the decapping pin at the end you can still resize with it, just move the pin up in the body so it clears the head of the case, hobbesy wrote:Just spent the last hour and came to the same conclusion as you, I now have over 50 cases (out of 100) not sized because the gauge wont fit. So I have to replace it if I want the case neck sized correctlykennyc wrote:one point, if you use Lee trimmer the barrel of the trimmer may not fit through the neck if you haven't used an expander rod when full length sizing, based on my experience of a few minutes ago.
Re: Lee expanding die pin
Now is a good time to buy your self a decent case trimmer and chuck the Lee trimmer in the bin.
Just a thought how did you break the decapper you did not try to de prime a military case that was Berdan primed did you.

Re: Lee expanding die pin
Why don't you order a replacement direct from Lee. You can buy from them online, good service and their post and packing prices are reasonable.
Buy two while you are at it they aren't expensive.

Re: Lee expanding die pin
Just to clarify, I bent the pin trying to get it out of the case. Little ham fisted. The lee trimmer is fine and has done me well with various calibres. Have phoned Kranks to see if if they can get me the part and I can order bullets at the same time, just waiting for them to return the call
