It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good. And so it is.... Along with the damp patch om my living room ceiling, the broken fence posts and panels, a bit of good luck blew my way. in the form of fallen Ash tree that a good friend offered to me. It was more than my little Sthil with it's 12'' bar could handle, so I added £149.99 to my winter fuel allowance and bought a Husqvana 440e with 18" bar and chain from these people:
It's an odd fetish Jenks...but as long as it makes you happy razz
Btw: Same as you; after an almost constant south westerly for the last two months, we've got damaged fences front and back, and have a builder coming to improve the flashing before the insurance company will agree to redecorate the living room...

Never thought of it as a fetish odd or otherwise. But it does makes me happy in a couple of ways. Firstly, I'm happy that in spite of my age related aches and pains I can still do the graft involved in getting the timber from the wood into my log store*. But more importantly is the joy I will get in the winter of 2015 as I am able to turn the central heating off and let the lovely ash keep me warm.
* Actually my log store is full so it will have to sit under a tarpaulin in the garden until there is room for it.

clapclap clapclap clapclap very good I tell you what, I did look a mess by the time I packed up. As soon as I stepped into the wood it started raining (heavily) the ground around the tree was like a quagmire by the time I had carried the tree rings to the trailer I was saturated and covered in mud.. Sods law today down here would have been better the weather is lovely . Just had my solicitor on the phone telling me that our house sale and purchase is now completed.... much to our relief it has been a long haul... party2

Yep I remember it well Jenks, funny how we forget about things as we go through life but we never forget certain pubs or the chip shops near them. So are you living in Tidworth now?
