MENTAL - do not try this at home or on range

#1 Post by Chuck »

Breaks all safety rules, questionable to say the least: Why does the other guy not train to react rather than stand and wait to get shot!!!!!! And that grip, only a thumb away from a potential stoppage...

note the negligent discharge, could have shot himself in the leg.

He did it a couple of times, I think it was intentional!

I believe that the reason the bloke at the start just stands by the target and the other guy allowa himself to get shot was explained shortly afterwards: basically to train to still shoot precisely even when dealing with shock from several hits.
Definately something we should allow on UK ranges to spice up boring paper punching :-)

I did note that it appeared that the bloke shot in the vest was the same bloke that then said it was something he wouldnt do. Or was it someone else? He did look simular, it could be that I just viewed this on a titchy screen.

I liked the way in the last tests that the shooter maintained control and awareness even with two blokes shouting and discharging firearms in his ear.
Anyone with children would find training for that situation quite useful as the little sods can really get at you at times. :-)

I was going to say the shooter was a pro, but after seeing how long it took the guy to line up a shot you could have loaded up a fu****** jumbo jet, not the speedy target acquisition level I was trained to at pistol level.....combined with nd, ide say the whole thing was a joke video....or staged.....or both....

Running Man, well spotted - just target shooting at that point, way too slow - and WHY train to take hits kukkuk kukkuk . Any half decent combat / defensive shooter would transition to the head after shot 2 and it would all be over..then again trying to draw whilst taking those hits might have REALLY got him shot. Nahhh daft stuff all round. And yes he nearly did shoot himself in the foot. Can't think why you would want to discharge a pistol into the ground.....unless that was where the target was.

I appreciate he could not return fire, then again - why not?? Just give the other bloke a some body armour too.

There was no ND; the ground shot simulates shooting an opponent.

Don't panic. Nothing there applicable to UK ranges so you can go back to your Horlicks now.

Seven six two It sure does not look that way, towards the end last 40 seconds he does it again......There was no mention of it by the commentator.......i shot practical pistol from 1989 till the ban , i trained with former sas and active sas, both for competition and active duty, and i can tell you ive never seen such sh**e in my life.....that guy took so long lining up his shots I could have emptied most if not all of my pistol into him.......what a joke this video is.....and if it is actually real ! Then go tell the ukrainians the ruskies are useless.......
