BAR 22

#1 Post by breacher »

I have always fancied one of these and missed out on one through lack of funds when they were previously available.

So when Mark decided to do a very limited production run recently, I treated myself to a birthday present in the shape of a BAR 22 upper to go with my BAR 15.

Its a compact little rifle with a 12" barrel and Sak moderator. Forend is Samson wigh Marks signature "X" incorporated. Scope is a Leupold Mark AR 1-4x20. Mount is a Nightforce ultralite item with reducing rings. Mag is CMMG courtesy of John MH.

Tested for function before I left Marks workshop and it was flawless. Now looking forward to getting to the range tomorrow !!!

These can be as expensive as you want as they are bespoke.

Suffice to say the barrelled upper without mount, scope, mod or mags was considerably more than the rrp of any of the of the .22 clones available as a complete rifle.

However I have met enough happy customers ( and unhappy cheaper clone owners) to know its cheaper in the long run.

Have fun shooting the new rifle.

Clones aside, is there anything about this rifle that makes it different from any other AR22? eg. CMMG, Spikes etc.

The barrel breech system is different and superior to all the others and in fact Bradleyarms and Accuracy Speaks were making these long before Spikes and CMMG ever came on the market.
