New and Clueless!
Hello Everyone
I'm new to the forum and to the world of FAC shooting. I shoot air rifle Field Target and Benchrest at Bisley. I'm currently searching for a rifle club that can offer the best facilities and advice for a new shooter. I am still unsure about the discipline(s) I would be most suited to but am very interested in F-T/R having spectated at a match a while ago.
I will, of course be reading as much of this forum as I can and hopefully gaining knowledge as I go, with the goal of eventually obtaining my FAC and purchasing my first firearm (obviously subject to my club probation and police checks).
Please forgive me if I ask a question that has been covered a million times!
With regard to my first club, could anybody offer advice on where to start? I have trawled the NRA club list and am struggling to find a Bisley-based club which offers F-class or long-range Benchrest.
Thanks in advance, all advice will be gratefully received.
All the best,
Peter

Don't worry, I am not new but still clueless....if my recent shooting activities are anything to go by anyway emrolleyes
There's this club see, called the Dorset Riflemen. They don't do long range benchrest (although some of them shoot short range in Christchurch), but they are Bisley based for FClass and are an F class club.
Might be worth a try....apparently we are a bit arrogant.....one day I will find out whoever it was who said that and lick his face tesnews :55:

Welcome
Good luck with finding a club. Don't forget the NRA themselves are a club as well as an association.
