Pecos Run n' Guns
Just read this article about the Pecos Run n' Guns. Sounds uber brilliant but sadly it is in Texas ...
http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/1 ... urse-fire/
The Run `n Gun is described as "a pistol & rifle biathlon as a fun way to test man and equipment over a course roughly 6 to 7 miles, cross country, with four or five shooting events spread along the course. Competitors must carry all their gear, including water, stuck case extractors and anything else. No outside help is allowed. Competitors receive a score for their run time, and a score for each shooting event. Run time counts 50%, and the combined shooting scores count 50%."

Re: Pecos Run n' Guns
sounds suspiciously like excercise to me
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns

That's either a man wearing a dress or a woman with very hairy arms, I don't think I would like to meet either.

It's a tactical kilt.ordnance wrote:That's either a man wearing a dress or a woman with very hairy arms, I don't think I would like to meet either.
6-7 miles and you only get to fire 80 rounds?
I'd prefer to cover less distance and shoot more, say a mile and 300 rounds.

I'm up for it. Sounds awesome. :shakeshout:
Can we set something up on Salisbury Plain?

You should have shot the CSR matches last weekend then.BamBam wrote:It's a tactical kilt.ordnance wrote:That's either a man wearing a dress or a woman with very hairy arms, I don't think I would like to meet either.

A total of 575 yards running (in short stints) and over 150 rounds.

Arming the Country, one gun at a time.
Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

Nope, I prefer 3 gun style shooting and moving, you should try it.Mattnall wrote:You should have shot the CSR matches last weekend then.BamBam wrote:It's a tactical kilt.ordnance wrote:That's either a man wearing a dress or a woman with very hairy arms, I don't think I would like to meet either.

Re: Pecos Run n' Guns
Never done proper 3-gun as such in the UK, but I have shot the multi-gun, 2-gun and PSG matches, most recently at Bisley, and in the past shot PSG (to a lesser extent) and mini rifle since the mid 1990s at Harlow and around the SE. All involve shooting and moving, and even kicking open doorsBamBam wrote:
