I went to see Fury last night ... Dont bother :bad:

Such a pile of silly clichés that I kept wondering if I was looking at it with the correct mind set, ie: is it supposed to be a gory joke film like "Inglourious Basterds" that failed to be funny or was it a film for real which was utterly crap ? Anyway beside a duel against a Tiger I and an ambushe scene by a PAK40, I kept checking my watch to figure out how long I had to carry enduring that film .

Oh, I don't know... I thought it had its moments (not so much at the end). For me it was worth the price of admission to see a genuine running Tiger (from Bovington, no less) rather than a hideous T34 lashup (such as the one in Duxford) seen in so many movies. What I didn't realise was that the Fury Sherman was also from the Bov collection.

At least Bovington are making the best of it (http://www.tankmuseum.org/ixbin/indexpl ... and_events)

I've seen it and it's probably one of the best films of this year so far. More an anti-war film rather than a straight out war film, but full of action all the same. Sure they bunched up and some of the battle set pieces could have been more tactically correct, but most folks won't know that watching it.

It's worth a watch, just wait until all the little monsters have gone back to school.
