AI AW bipod, iron sights, other bits

Hi all,


I'm after some parts for the "bare" 7.62mm AI AW that I've acquired. As the rifle is also a bit of an investment, I want to equip it with only OEM AI parts and accessories. Would be interested in any of the following:

1. AI AW bipod (not the new AX/AT type)

2. Iron sights (muzzle break type)

3. Quick-adjust buttplate

4. Monopod

5. Scope mount (picatinny type)

6. Metal transit chest

7. Sling

8. Maybe a low-mileage 26" 7.62/.308 barrel.


I won't add an S&B PMII to the list as, given the cost, I'll hold on in the hope of finding one at auction or other bargain price - wouldn't want to deprive a Forumer of a fair price!

I was talking to JP at optics warehouse on Thursday and he's just picked up a load of surplus stock from AI, including transit cases and schmidt scopes (has some Hensoldt as well)

He's in the process of setting up a new website to replace the existing one and he'll be putting it all on there but definitely worth giving him a call as he's always good with prices and a pleasure to deal with.....

The used transit cases from Sporting Services are usually around the GBP75.00 plus a tenner postage and are superb value, I have one here I use for unusual shipments. Is it an L96A1 or a later model, I should have the original rear battle sight for the former somewhere safe.
