When I buy myself something suitable to shoot! Hired a club gun for the CSR course, but don't think that will be practical for a competition.
I'm having the kid in a sweet shop moment, not quite sure which way to turn first!

Don't worry about not having one of your own, just enter, come on down and shoot.
By all means hire that same gun again for the comps if it's available, or get one off the NRA for the day. The more shooting timw you get the more you'll know what you want for your style of shooting.

Thanks for the encouragement! My worry with hiring an NRA AR was not having a chance to get the sights set before the competition started! probably a bit of a weak excuse really......
