10-22 takedown scope

#1 Post by Mdwysc »

Hey all,
I bought a takedown this year so when the fancy takes me I can strap it to my back and ride my motorbike to the range. It's much more discrete than a gunslip. The return to zero is fine, with the Volquartsen trigger I have installed it's a sweet little plinking rifle.
Anyway, I currently have a hawke red dot on it. I would like a small scope, nothing fancy but maybe 5 power or a little more, problem being that they are all long and I would like a neat compact version so it will fit in the backpack that came with the ruger.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Have a look at the Hawke Airmax 2-7x32 AO. They are crystal clear, and focus down to a few feet. Brilliant for plinking or pest control. They come in at an inch or so under 12". :good:

Thanks Les, it's a nice scope but is way too long, would prefer something sub 200mm/ 8 inches ( no innuendoes please lol) otherwise it won't fit in the bag.

Interesting reading. Thanks. The simmonds seems like a good bet but a few great suggestions.

What about a magnifier for your red dot? Might be able to get the lot under 8
