SG Buckshot in the North East

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone from around my way (NE) knows of an RFD that has any SG buckshot other than Lyalvale Express Max Game SG 36g? I've only found Bradford Stalker that sells SG near me so far (although it has been a while since i looked).

Its looking like the UKPSA championship matches are all going to have buckshot stages so i need to find an alternative as the above ammo doesn't work well in my BR99.

Any suggestions appreciated (but not Just Cartridges as i don't want to order 250 expensive carts only to find out they don't work either!)

Cheers

Eley and GameBore both do some SG loads. An RFD in Huddersfield, kirklees guns, has some if it's not too far

If you can get some suitably sized shot/ball bearings I can load you some up to try?
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)

Hi Mark

Steve at Shield usually has several makes in stock, if you cant get down to him it may be possible to get one of the guys who lives up your way to bring it up for you, Kev sometimes comes down although he didnt in 2014 but I know Mick from Rossendale is planning to be there in March & he shoots with you guys I hear.

Thanks folks.

After doing some testing at the weekend i've found its a length issue (Ooo er). Basically the Eley and Express SG are too long because of the near vertical feed ramp. They would work if i downloaded the mag to 7rds but that defeats the point of being in Open division.

So now i'm on the hunt for 'short' SG carts, either that or i'll have to enter the murky world of magazine spring tampering.... :o lol
