The short story* is it started life as a 410 shotgun which I had re-barrelled (thanks to Gordon and crew at Shandwick Supplies aka TW Chambers) to 22lr. However, I wanted it to be something different so I drew inspiration from the Australian prototype No6 rifle http://www.awm.gov.au/collection/REL/05743/
I call it the Lee Mongrel, as there is more than one type of Lee that went into finished product!

and looking into the reciever and yes it's a single shot.

And just for the record I not claiming it to be anything other than inspired by the No 6. It's just a bit of fun and something different.
*The long story is too involved to go into, but even now there is a twist - as of this morning Aberdeen is now claiming I didn't have authority to acquire!
