I've seen versions of express sights that had a fixed rear aperture (which could be drifted for zeroing), with elevation being down to flip to the side front sight blades/a blade which had different height notches.

I had thought you could do something along the lines of the long eye-relief jobbies you did recently for a certain shooter of Antipodean origin.

Forend profiling seems to be an improvement, the problem is knowing how far to go without spoiling everything. I am trying to get a smooth flowing transition from the trigger guard forward yet not loose the depth for the front hand position.

The dishwasher made a good difference to the butt, now it just needs shaping and sanding to suit the rest of the rifle.
