This film took a long time to get made. I remember reading about MM4 being planned back in 2003.

Looking forward to this, been a fan of the series since I climbed over the fence at the local drive-in, to beat the age restriction on Road Warrior.

The production was troubled by the death of one of the main directors during the third film, Mel Gibson's own issues and rain making the part of Australia they wanted to use look more green than they wanted from a good rainfall.

Maybe you should fact check that, both of the directors from 3rd film are still alive and the rain didn't have an impact until much much later. Gibson pulled out of the project in 2000.

Big MadMax fan here, first two were the best and lost its way with Thunderdome.I think Fury Road fits in between the first two films.Still have a hankering for a black Ford Falcon XBGT with a supercharger sticking out the bonnet!.

Correction it was Byron Kennedy one of the owners of the production company with George Miller, killed in 1983 before mad max 3 came out. And you're right about Gibson, he gave up and I think it's for the best with what goes on with him today.
