Fair point, but its like going on about all the 1911 clones and the Icon arms P226 not being 9mm is kinda like being an regular person competing in the Special Olympics. Too easy and still bloody stupid at the end of the day. None of them are the real thing but the closest to own in Mainland UK. In truth, we come back to the thing called Reality and its what we have to live with .

except that the p226 isn't a set caliber. you can have a 226 in .40 and it is still called a p226.

well colt dont make a pistol marketed as a 1911 anymore, but other companies like s&w and Springfield do, and they all market it as 1911 whether it is in .45 or not. so i dont think those two are really comparable.

I do agree that having to have them .22 is daft, but at the end of the day its all we can have unless we want to break the law, and i don't, but thats not what this thread is about.

all i was suggesting was a name as the glock 17 refers to one particular gun of a particular caliber, and so calling a .22 version the same thing doesn't make sense, thats all

Mags do have the easy load system (like Smith 15-22)
It's so hard to name some thing without copying or offending some one !
A few people are asking for a square shroud "fake can" as they seem to be all the fashion in USA !

Funny story, some of my great grandparents and their family marched down during the Jarrow March. They got as far as Doncaster and that was it. Stopped and found work. When my dad during his job meet someone with our last name during his work, he said "So your side kept on walking" and the guy knew what he was talking about.

So you at least dragged yourself further than the middle of the country when you had to do.

whatever its called, i'm up for one if price is K22 ish. got a slot on licence waiting to be filled!
i was going to get a K22, but the one's i've seen still have reliability issues.
i had a Glock 21( .45 acp) in the old days and used it for practical pistol. it had an Alchemy compensated barrel, lightweight titanium striker, and 2.5 lb trigger disconnector, and was a delight to shoot.
shot a .40 cal ported Glock, and a .45 in Prague last year and loved them both.
i will definitely want more than 10 shot capacity mags.
Look forward to seeing the finished result.

Interesting that the slide has no Glock markings. Possibly adapted aftermarket rimfire glock slide like Tac-Sol. The frame is the issue, if it was manufactured as a conventional pistol it's section 5 forever. So they need to source new frames from the factory.
Think that's the same issues that Icon arms had with Glock.

It's not got anything to do with glock icon arms approached glock and glock wanted nothing to do with it so they got a third party to supply the slides.
