Re: Inert ammo collection
Nice little collection
A pity we need written police permission up here to collect inert ammo
(Yes, we don't - but I know someone that has such a letter giving such authorisation - and they ask for more money to do the admin., I wonder why?)

Given the cost of components and time spent sourcing/resizing, seating etc Dan that's a nice little handful to get people started Dan.

I had some inert (oiled primer) rounds sitting about at work.saddler wrote:Nice little collection

Duty flatfoot came in on the scrounge and started lecturing and interrogating me as to why I had live ammo there, how did I know it was inert etc etc blah de blah.
I let him finish, told him what my allocation was and why, asked him what part of "Inert" it was he didn't get (written large on the back of the case, saves drilling holes in em) then went for the jugular....
"So what makes you think I am stupid enough to bring live ammunition to a nick, and leave it laying about?"
He has been fine ever since.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I like the 458WM, it is on list of things to shoot one day. The 240 Win, is that a typo?
