Censored is nothing to my generation! We had blazing fast 56k dial-up to download our patches!
I'm looking forward to Mad Max FR, sadly the projector has developed a really annoying dead-pixel though :'(

If you're in Barnsley go to Cineworld in Sheffield or Xscape in Castleford. I've been to Xscape, its got the IMAX. And your generation had no Nunchuks in films or anything (none in the Teenage Ninja Turtles), in fact your gen had the Teenage Ninja Turtles called Teenage Hero Turtles as Ninja was thought to be a bad word.Demonic69 wrote:Censored is nothing to my generation! Re: Mad Max: Fury Road
I was referring to video games and cartoon censorship. The Original Soul Edge had its chuks taken out of the uk release and the original TMNT cartoon was affected. Bruce Lee would have gotten away with it in the censors eyes due to cultural.... whatever criteria they use to say what is banned and that. And who hasn't heard of Bruce Lee, shame about him and his son. I have had arguments with people about what killed his son and I keep telling them that it was a squib load left in the barrel that had shrapnel sent flying by the blank round. Am I right on that count?snayperskaya wrote:No nunchuks in films!!!???........have you not seen or heard of Bruce Lee???Sixshot6 wrote:If you're in Barnsley go to Cineworld in Sheffield or Xscape in Castleford. Also if Wiki is correct films still get banned, but I wonder how it works with amazon ordering and live streaming (I guess live streaming could be restricted on area but there are ways around that too and I don't think amazon is that picky about what it sends and where).
Re: Mad Max: Fury Road
The reviews are bonkers, 99% on Rotten Tomatoes.
The only thing they say that is wrong, is that this movie was not filmed in the Aussie outback, but in the Namib desert.
Makes me all nostalgic for my youth club days.

Thats not like the youth clubs we have round my end. I guess you did some time there while it was still South West Africa? What was the reason they went to Namibia, I remember it being something to do with where they wanted to film in Oz had a good rainfall and looked nice and lush which wasn't what they wanted anymore.BamBam wrote:The reviews are bonkers, 99% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Broken Hill in Oz is where they were going to film, after the rains it had turned into lush meadowland. Not so good for post-apocalyptic landscape. I think they did some studio stuff in Oz and the post production, just from reading imdb.

Saw this last night, relentless full on action, Tom Hardy didn't do it for me, I think Karl Urban would have been a better choice.
