I really enjoy my clays, much prefer ESP to skeet though, but each to their own! You'll be shooting down the drain, sorry, line next..... :squirrel:

I got some disapproving looks when i took my S1 Benelli to Steve Smiths next to the airport but the staff themselves weren't bothered. Would probably cause a few heart attacks if i took the Bora there 8-) lol

ESP - English Sporting. Basically a game shoot simulation so the traps could be positioned anywhere, fire towards, away, quartering, crossing, from behind, in front etc etc

Skeet - There is an arc of 5 (IIRC) fixed shooting positions between two fixed towers whcih each contains a trap. One fires high, the other low. You work your way around the arc shooting a pair of clays each time.

The Bora, now that would be a giggle..... But as Adam is in on it now, I'll let you know how his goes! Hobbsey also has a full tactical Mossberg 500 pump with more s*** hung off it than a Swiss Army Knife!

For us rifle shooters, skeet is perhaps the way into clays. I went with the former European Ladies Sporting Champion, as she said, skeet wil certainly teach us to swing the gun all the way through, instead of swing, stop, bang, swing....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I have actually used my Bora at my local strawbaler as they couldn't give a monkeys what you use as long as you're safe (as it should be) :good: . Only ended off with 28/50, its really not the best tool for the job. One of the main problems was the hood around the red-dot was often in the way of the clay for significant parts of the clays flight so sometimes i was just having to guess where it was. I was only putting 2 in the mags at a time, if i'd been able to have the full 10 at each clay/pair i'm sure i would've got the lot bangbang :D
