If you want to offload it I'll have it off you - my CMMG Mk4 (had mine for couple of years now - 20" barrel) is reliable with the CMMG BHOA - but I'd like to see how it runs without the BHOA (it annoys me when I split the upper and lower and it drops onto the floor).BamBam wrote:I have a catch 22 but don't use it, maybe I should sell it to someone as a spare?

You need a S&W mags with a catch 22. You can also run gen 1 CMMG mags without the BHOA, they just lock back on the follower and the bolt runs forward when the mag is pulled out, like black dog mags do in a non-BHO rifle.nickb834 wrote:If you want to offload it I'll have it off you - my CMMG Mk4 (had mine for couple of years now - 20" barrel) is reliable with the CMMG BHOA - but I'd like to see how it runs without the BHOA (it annoys me when I split the upper and lower and it drops onto the floor).BamBam wrote:I have a catch 22 but don't use it, maybe I should sell it to someone as a spare?

PM me if you're still interested, I'll go get it out the loft in the meantime.

Re: CMMG .22lr
15 22 mag's also need a 2mm spacer fitted so they fit in the magwel when using the Catch 22
Re: CMMG .22lr
So do any of these rimfire ARs actually perform, out of the box, as their full bore counterparts do, with any AR rimfire mag you can pick up. Or do they all require additional parts, special mags, custom catches and buttons, shims and fettling?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

But they don't feel like a toy & you'll be able to hand them down to your grandkids.

Wonder how the grand kids would feel about that.....
But then they'll have the 'Smith. On an US cop forum, a small town dept who got a couple for training reckon their 'Smiths had seen over 150k rounds with no breakages and one with no stoppages... Evidently my toy is like the Duracell Bunny!
Out of the box, from the factory, at a fraction of the cost....
