Hello from Northern Ireland!
Hi everybody,
I first got into shooting while living in the U.S and quickly built up a fairly decent collection. Now that I've come back I'm doing my best to continue shooting and start a new collection. I've been a member of Kells RPC over here for just about a year and I'm currently in the process of getting my FAC. I'm quickly discovering that just sourcing the firearms I want is far more difficult than it was back in Texas

Welcome to full-bore.

Welcome to the forum. It gets even harder if you live on the mainland

Thanks. Yeah at least we still have handguns over here. The slots system you have over there seems far easier though. I'm trying to source several different firearms before I send off my FAC application, since I need the serial numbers for the application. Also, military surplus rifles seem to be far more common over on the mainland.

Welcome aboard, but word of warning if you start posting pictures of gratuitous fun being had with proper pistols you might well get banned

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Yes they would be more difficult than in Texas. Try the link bellow there are plenty of handguns if that is what you are looking.I've been a member of Kells RPC over here for just about a year and I'm currently in the process of getting my FAC. Nice to see another shooter from Northern Ireland on here. I'm after a few handguns and have been keeping an eye on gundeal lately to see if any turn up. There was a very nice S&W 686 4" on there that was sold by the time I called and and 629 Classic DX I was after that was withdrawn from sale.ordnance wrote:Yes they would be more difficult than in Texas. Is there anywhere here you'd recommend for military surplus rifles? I'm after a few at the moment.
Re: Hello from Northern Ireland!
Not at the moment, probably more available in mainland UK. Something I could be interested in getting, the only thing putting me off would be the lack of ranges here for full bore rifles. Is there anywhere here you'd recommend for military surplus rifles?
Re: Hello from Northern Ireland!
Yeah they're pretty hard to find over here it seems, I've been calling around quite a few shops over in the mainland trying to source a few. Fullbore rifle ranges aren't too common here, but luckily enough my club has a 100 yard fullbore range and does regular trips out to Magilligan.ordnance wrote:Not at the moment, probably more available in mainland UK.
