They have been either brought or built over here before. I'm pretty sure that someone actually made one here with 6 10/22's about 4 years back!

With regard to the de-milled receivers, surely if its just a 'shroud' for a 10/22 to sit in, and the calibre is different to Section 5 calibre, it wouldn't be an issue??
I dunno. That's why I asked. Common sense dictates as you have suggested. But there are those in power who lack common sense and may in fact argue that the original de-milled firearm has been made to fire again...

Oddly I've always wondered about the legality of producing one of the replica .22 Gatling guns proper for which plans and schematics can be purchased

Seen these in more detail on one of the US forums I also frequent as the guy that builds them is a member on there, I think he has also done a couple with Marlin actions as well.
