Boonie Packer Adaptor

Question: Will a Boonie Packer Adaptor allow the use of S&W mags, fit in a Sig 552 Swat. I can get a Sig for £499 but want to over come feed problems. I know the Lantac is better but it is over twice the cost.

Are there feed problems with the 522? I've only ever seen reports of them eating anything without much fuss.

No, doesn't fit.

You can use other mags, but will not have full last round bolt hold open.

Black Dog Machine magazines for my 522 just didn't work out. Constant failure to feed and it was rapidly becoming a serious pain in the a**e. Bought a couple of LANTAC 25 rounds mags and now the 522 will fire anything. No FTF at all and the Sig is a joy to use.
I also note that there is a video on utube where someone modifies an S&W 15-22 mag without too much effort and it works fine in the Sig. For the future perhaps ...!

S&W 15-22 mags are really good and they're some of the cheapest mags in the UK currently, you should post that video, I know at least one person who would consider the modification.

Do yourself a favour, buy the S&W :good:

If you want to play with one let me know and we can meet at St Giles almost any time this week :D

I have a 522 and haven't had a single failure to feed or fire in thousands of rounds. I use an original Sig 25rnd mag and a black dog steel lip 15rnd mag without issue.

Wasn't it a single (early) batch of Sig 522s brought into the UK that had big feed issues?

I only know about the e-clips problem on the early models and that has been resolved. The SiG522 is a good rifle, has a nice weight, the SWAT models with the quad rail a bit more substantial than the classic with the plastic forend.

The target model does free float the barrel, about £695.

You pays your money and takes your chances I suppose? The LANTAC mags sorted my feeding issues out right away and I haven't had a FTF for thousands of rounds. Tried two of the BDM mags last week at the range just out of curiousity and experienced stoppages with both so clearly, the gun just doesn't like them.
I mention the modified S&W 15-22 mag in my earlier post purely because of the built-in feed assist (which I think is pretty nifty). The modification looks pretty easy and the mags are readily available here in UK. I'll post the link up when I get access to my desktop computer.
