In the last 2 years it was only one advert with 2nd hand cugir and price was 600+...Rusmilitary has now new delivery and probably the best price in UK-I can not find anything cheaper,anyway....good luck.

As Polemass said above second hand Romanian AKs don't appear very often, your best bet to get one is to buy a new one.If you buy a new one you can keep on top of cleaning etc as milsurp x39 has corrosive primers.....I looked at a Romanian AKMS that hadn't been cleaned properly after range visits and was suffering a bit.I prefer the Romanians to a Saiga as they are closer to a Soviet Era AKM (built at Cugir on ex-Soviet tooling) , the Saigas are actually more AK-74 based with their slightly smaller bolt carrier and bolt arrangement.
My two Romanians, both "Soviet-ised"

Very nice, I have a slot for x39 - and I think I've settled on a Romanian, I'm just torn between fixed and underfolder........

I do like the underfolders but the original Romanian stock isn't brilliant so I retrofitted an original Soviet one to mine.It takes a bit of work but the end result is worth it as the stock sits straight rather than angled downwards like the original and you get a better cheekweld. The Romanian stock mechanism only locks on one side of the receiver whereas the Russian one locks on both sides and is more rigid.nickb834 wrote:Very nice, I have a slot for x39 - and I think I've settled on a Romanian, I'm just torn between fixed and underfolder........
