L1A1 Rear sight

One of my Johnny-Foreigner lot friend shoots a L1A1 and hates the rear sight. He saw one on a US forum that he described to me as similar to the G3 drum rear-sight.

Any suggestion of an after-Mkt replacement please my dear little English chums ?

I will always step in to answer any L1A1 queries with pleasure ... The drum sight your mate is talking about, is the back sight for the Canadian inch pattern C1, not an easy or cheap thing to find these days I'm afraid ... I have one in my collection and I had to go to ridiculous lengths to acquire it, with a proposed C1A1 straight pull build in mind.

The other option is to go for twin leaf Hythe sight,much more readily available, get him to contact Sal at MDW supplies

I passed on your suggestion & my friend decided on the Hythe sight that you suggested. It's now on its way to me. Hopefully it will make his L1A1 the best in the Czech Rep thanks to you
