I have one of the Sig P226 LBP's and want to fit a Red Dot to the slide. It is currently fitted with adjustable iron sights. I know I need to remove these and the dovetail fitting to then fit a Red Dot. I understand their are different types of dovetail fitting. I have heard one called a "novak" but this means little to me ? Does anyone know the type of dovetail on a LBP P226 as supplied by Icon Arms ?

Re: Sig P226 LBP Rear sight Dovetail ?
You need a base that has a "Sig 226 dovetail". Becareful as Sig also produce a 1911 and some bases marked "Sig cut" are for this. Novak cut is the style of dovetail used by Novak Sights. Some manufacturers offer Novak sights on certain models of the pistols.
Invariably, even though when the correct sight base is ordered, it may requiring a little fitting to get it into the dovetail slot.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
