If the bolt closing is really an issue and your friend starts using a breach flag, tell him to manually close/ease the bolt closed on it as the bolt slamming shut will end up chopping the 'handle' off the breach flag. I've done 3 that way but at least it's better than the extractor snapping!

Especially as extractors are like Buses, never around when you need one.
