Not if the victim was white - there were no riots after one of the occupier militia was shot by the FBI.

The narrator called it right "he deserved it"!

If that was in one of those gun free states half the people around would be dead due to poor police marksmanship. Well done that officer.

You need to be a special kind of stupid to commit armed robbery in a place like Texas! kukkuk

Wonder how the UK Police would have handled that?

I can't see any armed Plod being keen to shoot anybody nowadays knowing that it will almost certainly be an end to their career and ensure a life of misery and worry that they will be charged with murder for years to come.

#3 - Always be sure of your target and what's behind it. Meh, the chances of hitting one of those cars behind is slim......5mith Yeehaw.

There was a thing on TV last night:

http://news.sky.com/story/1633328/scots ... id-gun-use

An effort by US police to study UK police de-escalation tactics - quite revealing, Police Scotland demo'd deescalating and unarming an assailant with a knife (I know but bear with me) afterward in the discussion - just about every Police Chief visiting from the states said that that assailant would have gotten himself shot. Instead - carried away by four bobbies and alive.

Same programme showed 2 situations in the US, a fatal Police shooting of an ostensibly armed black male (video evidence was too poor, but a firearm was recovered at the scene) and seperatley in California a schizophrenic white male with an Axe threatening officers through his smashed window. In this case I was surprised to see that the officers de-escalated by leaving scene, only to return the next day to take him into custody (successfully no shots fire and no one axed!).

You would have to say though, anyone committing a serious offence with a threat to life (not an accidental I've accidentally got a too short a gun be it NFA or section 5 over here) deserves to get shot.

Well it seems that Police Scotland are putting the welfare of the Criminal before the Public and especially the Rank and File Cop.

I think all UK Police should be armed and see nothing wrong in the 21 foot rule.

I'd like to ask the people who decide such policies what they would do if somebody threatened them or their Family with a knife or even a large rock and they had access to a Glock (Just pull the trigger} what they would do.

Here is a good case for arming the Police and allowing them to shoot anyone with a knife.
