Greets from Whitley Bay

#1 Post by jonthebrit »

Brief introduction : I've done a bit of shooting over the years, mostly during my time in the ACF but more recently some indoor pistol ammo rifle shooting which I've come to realise doesn't float my boat anymore. There's quite limited military range time up north and I'm often on a motorway somewhere in the UK off to a horse event at the weekend with my oldest daughter so committing to a dozen possible dates in a year is sometimes easier said than done, not a complaint but more a realisation of my limitations.

More recently things have slowed a little elsewhere and I'm in a position where I've some time to fit some form of shooting into the time table. I'm quite keen on clay shooting and the local area had a few great venues so I'm looking into that. A couple of friends of mine and my youngest daughter are off for a taster session at Bywell next weekend which I'm looking forward to but the flexibility and availability of places to shoot this sport (and being outside which is a plus) makes it really attractive, especially if I can get my youngest involved (out of the house and off her damn phone:) ).

This forum is such a great source of information I had to join.
