Welcome to FB Garry, it is one of the internet's better kept secrets and you may find it a bit different to the other UK based shooting forums however you will also certainly recognised some of the names here and if not the name then certainly the posters

Hi 6.5, welcome to FBUK

Re: Hello from Northern Ireland
Whilst I am not complaining at all (apart from the fact they are banned across here) isn't it bizarre that handguns are still legal in Northern Ireland? You guys are soooooo lucky!

We are lucky and its a pity you guys havent got the same laws even though we are part of the UK.
Its not all hunky dory either though as across the water you have greater rifle shooting facilities and lots more ranges. We are finding it difficult to get much range time over here as the are all booked up with the MOD. Then again over with you you also have specific ranges for .338 and 50 bmg. Thats another bonus for you as we dont have that in the north of ireland which sucks.

Re: Hello from Northern Ireland
We do shoot pistol in Denmark but not very often however the offer is always open for us along with as many 9mm rounds as we can get through. Strangely I have lost interest in pistol and these days can take it or leave it, 50-100 rounds is more than enough to keep me happy for a year. .338/50BMG ranges are few are far between even in the UK and it is a hugely expensive round to send down the range. I know of a couple of people shooting .338 that have never strayed beyond 600 which seems to defeat the object. Others I know are looking to alternative chamberings to overcome some of the restrictions imposed by some MoD ranges. Personally on the couple of occasions I have shot .338 I found it hard hitting but I will certainly shoot it again given the chance. I have never tried .50BMG, I would like to say I have no desire to either but were someone rash enough to offer the rifle and ammunition.... well it would be rude to say no.6.5shooter wrote:We are lucky and its a pity you guys havent got the same laws even though we are part of the UK.
