The Viking has a 6,5-284 (M97DL Sporter) As much as I like shooting it I would opt for a 6,5 SKAN given the choice.

As far as the AI goes I am a huge fan of the 6,5x47 and have shot it out to 1200 yards to good effect however it does take a kicking versus the heavies such as the straight .284 on windy days.

I too am considering a similar option, but in 6.5 CM (I already have an AT in .308) - I know I could just swap the barrels but I want a separate rifle.

I was thinking about a secondhand AE mk III or AT - anyone any idea of prices?
