With Stairway to Heaven being in the news this week I had it on earlier and this came up, to be honest in my humble opinion it's probably the best cover version of any song you'll ever hear.

Ann Wilson.....her and Karen carpenter are for me the two finest ever female vocalists ever...
Im a night heart fan saw them in Bournemouth years ago....
When someone says "it's not about the money" you know what? it probably is all about money!

Funny you should mention that, the female "singers" (wailers more like) who are around now, no comparison, said that to Ovenpaa just the other day.

I misspelt the above I ment to say a big heart fan...
They have like 20 odd albums!

Just to add.....a freind once saw the carpenters and said the instruments panel failed for half hour but the mikes dident....so she sang without any music in the background and people were witnessing something very special...
That was her gift...her voice alone was enough...
I do wonder how big she could have been had she not died...but then again I hint he same of orbison, hendrix,elvis and a few others like bon scott and Kirkby macall....
