Yep, you've hit the nail on the head there.

I beg to differ. My sako finnfire shoots easily as well as my anschutz 2213. It's also magazine fed, ready for scope mount, bipod easily mountable via the sling button (as opposed to a euro rail which the Harris #6 adapter is notoriously hard to acquire) and it's great fun.Kungfugerbil wrote:* Wood stocktackb wrote:sako finnfire range

Use will be plinking / target shootingKungfugerbil wrote:Given that the OPs objective was target shooting, why would he choose a hunting rifle?tackb wrote:Thereby ruling out the finest 22rf ever built (P94s) which leads me to conclude he's a fool .
Surely the right answer is a dedicated target rifle - ie heavy barrel, single shot...
I've just picked up an aluminium stocked Feinwerkbau that would do the job lovely for not much more than a new Sako. At the other end of the scale my £100 Anschutz 64 has brought me a couple of possibles on a 10-spot card...wood stock though.
re-read the op's original spec and then (ignoring the nonsense sako and wooden stock rubbish) suggest how the sako finn fire range is unsuitable?Kungfugerbil wrote:* Wood stocktackb wrote:sako finnfire range

But it is neither nonsense nor rubbish - it's the specific requirements of the OP.tackb wrote:ignoring the nonsense sako and wooden stock rubbish
There's nothing wrong with either of my rifles. i wouldn't call the Sako finnfire a ratty old sporter, either.Kungfugerbil wrote:But it is neither nonsense nor rubbish - it's the specific requirements of the OP.tackb wrote:ignoring the nonsense sako and wooden stock rubbish
I bet you work in sales peddling MacBooks to old dears If I said "recommend me a new car, don't like BMW, hate 4x4s" would you keep saying 'BMW X5' until you were blue in the face?
Also TG - I think your Annie needs looking at if its being bested by a ratty old sporter
Try it and see!!!ratters wrote:Slightly off topic, but how do people NOT get possibles shooting benchrest with a scope?
