M1907 sling keeper wanted
My leather M1907 sling is missing a keeper, the sling itself is old and scruffy yet a favourite so does anyone have a spare keeper they would like to sell or can point me to a link to buy one please?

Hopefully he will read this as opposed to his PM's which he seems to miss :)
Re: M1907 sling keeper wanted
Not missed the last PM - still doing "sums" - & being away at the weekend with patchy interwebz access was not a help
Which keeper is it, upper or lower?
(Upper is for two layers of sling, lower for three)

Re: M1907 sling keeper wanted
It is for two layers, do you have any old well used ones or does it have to be new?
Re: M1907 sling keeper wanted
I tend to keep the older (original military) ones as reference items.
New can be both NEW leather, or older leather cannibalised from other leather items, or new leather that I have aged.
I can make up leather to look like it is 50 years old if needed. I can also add "ordnance" proof marks or other data to the keeper.
(Just repaired a rare WW2 F~S "Long Tom" scabbard last week & the new leather is a 98% match to the original scabbard)

Oldish looking is good, my sling is very dark and well oiled and I can send you a picture if needed. Let me know a price and availability please.
