Mate went on a ride along a while back, prior to emigrating to the US
He was given a body armour vest & a Glock (well, not quite. He'd bought the Glock at a petrol station on his way from the airport)

"Officer’s searched the area and located an AR15 style pistol and other evidence. "
What's one of those then?

Er, the clue is in the name.daman wrote:"Officer’s searched the area and located an AR15 style pistol and other evidence. "

It's an AR15, but in pistol format (no stock, just the buffer tube)
Means you can have a sub-16" barrel without paying an NFA $200 tax stamp as a short rifle.
Think that's mad - look up what a Sig-brace is!!

Um, ok. So you still have a buffer tube, just no shoulder pad? As Chuck says each to their own.
I'd have though an AK format would work better for such a beast. If you had an AK with a foldable stock would it flip flop from pistol to rifle status depending on how it was folded?

It it has a sub 16" barrel, you could, but you'd be flip-flopping in a Federal prison for quite a long time!daman wrote:Um, ok. So you still have a buffer tube, just no shoulder pad? As Chuck says each to their own.
